John Washbourne1,2

M, b. before 2 July 1597, d. after 17 March 1671
     John was born in Bengeworth, Wickenford Parish, Worchestershire, England. He was christened there on 2 July 1597 in the parish church of St. Peter.3 He was the son of John Washbourne and Martha Timbrell. John married Margery Moore on 23 November 1618 in Bengeworth, Wickenford Parish at the parish church of St. Peter.4 John & Margery had children: Mary [10/03/1619], John [chr. 11/26/1620] [m. 12/06/1645 Elizabeth Mitchell] Phillip [chr.6/02/1622-bur. 6/07/1622] & Philip [1624]. Their children were born in Bengeworth, England.5,6,4 John immigrated about 1631. He resided in Duxbury, in the Plymouth Colony between 1631 & 1633. On 2 of January 1633, John is listed on the tax role for Plymouth Colony for 9 shillings.7 : [Bridgewater, Mass.]
On 17 March 1671, his son, John, was called "Jr." & in May he is called "Sr." John therefore died between that time in Bridgewater.
