Deliverance was born in January 1651 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was the son of Henry Waklee and Sarah Burt. Deliverance married Hannah Nash on 3 December 1678 in Stratford.1 Deliverance and Hannah had children: Hannah [10/15/1679-8/__/1683], Ebenezer [10/23/1681-3/27/1683], Henry [12/01/1683-12/071683], Sarah [12/011683] [m. 6/12/1710 Nathaniel Ketchem & Mary [3/03/1689] m. 11/25/1708 Joseph Burritt. Deliverance made his will on 15 October 1707 at Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
I Deliverance Wakelee of Stratford, Fairfield County Colony of Connecticut . . . I gvie to my aged mother, Sarah Wakelee the full house during her natural life and one half of her mainenance. He mentions Mary Sumers who has long lived with him and been kind to him. She is to be able to live in his house and to be be maintained. His two daughters, Sarah and Mary are to divided his estate after the death of his mother. The executors are his brother-in-law Timothy Titherton and Ambrose Thompson. - - - Witnesses: Abel Birdsey, James Wilson & Jacob Walker.2
Deliverance departed this life on Sunday, 6 November 1707 in Stratford at age 56 years and 10 months.3 The inventory of Deliverance's estate was taken on Sunday, 27 November 1707 by James Waklee and Abell Birdsey. They appraised the estate at £101 8s. His will was probated on 1 December 1707. On this date, his will and inventory were approved by the court.
