Margaret Sutton

     Margaret was born before 30 November 1637 in Attleborough, County Norfolk, England. She was the daughter of John Sutton and Julian Adcocke. She was christened there on 30 November 1637 in St. Mary's Church. Margaret married Joseph Carpenter, son of William Carpenter and Abigail Briant, on 25 November 1655 in Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts. Margaret's husband, Joseph, died before 6 May 1675 in Swansea Township leaving her a widow. Margaret departed this life in Swansea Township. She submitted her husband's will on 21 March 1675. She passed between those dates. The inventory of Margaret's estate was taken on Sunday, 4 October 1676 by Nicolas Combs and John Button. Her will was probated on 2 November 1676. William Carpenter presented the will for approval.
