William Torrey

     William was born in 1793 in New Durham, Greene County, New York. He was the son of Captain William Torrey and Mehitable Baldwin. William married Elizabeth W Folwell. 5 October 1850, William and his wife, Elizabeth, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Romulus, Seneca County, New York. Enumerated in this household were William Torrey [57 New York], Elizabeth [47 Pennsylvania], Joel Coryell [14 New York], William W. Folwell [82 Pennsylvania], Jane Folwell [74 Pennsylvania] & Stephen White [20 Ireland]. William is a farmer.¹ William departed this life on Monday, 7 June 1852 in Romulus at age 59 years. He was buried there in Kendaia Cemetery.
