Samuel Torrey

M, b. 18 August 1787, d. 16 September 1864
     Samuel was born on Saturday, 18 August 1787 in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut. He was the son of Captain William Torrey and Mehitable Baldwin. Samuel married Sarah Durfee. They are all farmers.2 12 June 1860, Samuel and his wife, Sarah, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Berkshire. Enumerated in this household were Samuel Torry [72 Connecticut], Sarah [72 Massachusetts], David B. [32 New York] & George Witter [21 New York]. Samuel and David are farmers. The couple have real estate valued at $3500 & Personal Property at $1400.3 Samuel departed this life on Friday, 16 September 1864 in Berkshire at age 77 years and 29 days. He was buried there in the Old Methodist Episcopal Cemetery.
