Jillisje Claes Swits

     Jillisje Claes was born circa 1617 in Zierikzee, Zeeland, Netherlands. She was the daughter of Claes Corneliesen Swits. Jillisje Claes married Dr. Harmenise Meyndert Van de Bogert circa 1640 in Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York, at the Reformed Dutch Church.1 Jillisje's husband, Harmenise, died in 1648 in Fort Orange, New York, leaving her a widow. Jillisje Claes married 2nd Jan Labatie in 1657 in Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York, at the Reformed Dutch Church.2
