Crispin Saunders

     Crispin was born in England. Crispin married Johan Burt, daughter of Henry Burte, in 1608 in Harberton, Devonshire, England. Crispin & Johan had children: Joseph [ca. 1610], Samuel [ca. 1612], son [ca. 1618], Daniel [ca. 1620] & Rebecca [ca. 1622].1 Crispin made his will on 10 October 1626 at Harberton, Devonshire, England. He states he is sick in body. He leaves to his three eldest sons three looms. He leaves his son Daniel and daughter Rebecca each a chest. To his wife, he left the remainder of his estate, the residuary legatee and executor of the will.1,2 The inventory of Crispin's estate was taken on Tuesday, 1 December 1626 and was appraised at £53 16s. 10d. Incuded in the inventory were one mill to make clean seed wheat, his books , his presses to bind books & 3 looms. Crispin departed this life in Harberton. His will was probated on 8 December 1626.
