William Seaman
M, b. 1543
William was born in 1543 in County Essex, England. He was the son of John Seaman and Mary Chaplin. William married Mary Bigland, daughter of Edward Bigland and Margaret (?), in England. In 1634, William & his wife, Mary, left Ipswich aboard the ship, "Francis", under the command of Captain John Cutting, bounded for New England. Robert had in his possession a certificate allowing departure..1 William & Mary's daughter Anne married Robert Coe [born 1596]. They later moved to Hempstead, Long Island, New York. Their three sons came with them - John 8, Robert 7, & Benjamin 5. Robert Coe, along with John Seaman, William Wastbourne, & John Hicks were deputies in Hempstead 11 December 1653.
