     Richard was born circa 1673 in Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of Captain John Seaman and Martha Moore. Richard married Jane Mott in 1694 in Westbury, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. 31 August 1698, Richard and Jane and his wife, [ROF:Hempstead Town] were listed on the Hempstead Town Census. Enumerated in this household were Richard Seaman, Jane, Richard, Thomas, Abigail Carman [probably Richard's sister, Hannah's daughter]. Richard made his will on 5 April 1749 at the Town of Hempstead, Queens County, Long Island, New York. He mentions his wife Jane & his children: Adam, Daniel, Jane Titus, Sarah Dusenbury, Hanah Doughty, Phebe Seaman, Elizabeth Townsend, Mary Seaman, Richard, Thomas, Giles. [New York Wills: Liber 17, page 110] Richard departed this life on Friday, 5 September 1749 in Westbury, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. His will was probated between April 1749 and 1750.
