Zachary Rhodes

     Zachary married Joane Arnold, daughter of William Arnold and Christian Peak, before 7 March 1646. Joane's father deeded property to her "Joanna wife of Zachariah Rhodes. Zachery & Joane had children: Jeremiah [6/29/1647], Malachi, Zachariah, John [circa 1658] [m. 2/12/1685 Waite Waterman] & Peleg [circa 1664]. Zachary made his will on 28 April 1662. He mentions in hsi will his eldest son, Jeremiah, his youngest son, Peleg, his other sons, Malachi, Zachariah and John. He also mentions his daughtgers, Elizabeth, Mary and Rebecca. He leaves bequeats to his wife, Joan, who he appoint as executrix. Zachary drowned in Pawtuxet on Saturday, 10 April 1666 just off the shore of the Pawtuxet River. His will was probated on 29 May 1666.
