Susannah Reiss

     Susannah was born in 1683 in Stein-Bockenheim, Rheinhessen, Germany. She was the daughter of Hans Conrad Reiss and Anna Apollonia (?) Susannah married Johann Daniel Korffman, son of Johan Philipp Korffman and Anna Ottila Lufft, on 14 November 1703 in Stein-Bockenheim at the Evangelisch Church. The family resided at Stein-Bockenheim, where, in 1727, he succeeded his father as Schultheiss. That same year he built a house in the main part of town. He retained the position of Schultheiss until 1732. Susannah's husband, Johann, died before 11 January 1732/33 in Stein-Bockenheim, leaving her a widow. Susannah departed this life on Wednesday, 16 January 1743 in Stein-Bockenheim at age 60 years.
