Matthew was born on Thursday, 30 April 1570 in Bath, Somersetshire, England. He was the son of Father (?) Randall and Mother (?) (?) Matthew married Agnes Cullen, daughter of William Cullen and Joane Millard, on 16 April 1595 in Bath, Somersetshire, England. Matthew was Mayor of Bath in 1627. Matthew married 2nd Elizabeth Moorefield on 13 August 1635 in England. Matthew made his will on 21 January 1640/41.
