     John was born circa 1666 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island. He was the son of John Randall and Elizabeth Torrey. John married Abigail Billings in 1695 in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut. John came to America with his parents in 1667. He purchased a large tract of land and prepared that for cultivation. He was a land proprietor at Stonington. John married 2nd Mary Baldwin, daughter of John Baldwin and Rebecca Palmer, on 25 November 1706 in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut.6 He and John were blessed with 8 children.7 John departed this life in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut. It is said he died at an honored old age.

[S447] Richard Anson Wheeler, History of the Town of Stonington, County of New London, Connecticut, page 546 - John Randall lived with his father in Westerly, on land purchased by Thomas Bell of Stonington until he reached manhood, when he came to Stonington and bought large tracts of land, which was intersected by the society line, that divided the town of Stonington into two religious societies in 1721. Mr. Randall was a farmer by occupation and as such reduced his land grants to cultivation, which he industriously and successfully improved during the remainder of his life. He m. 1st at Stonington, Abigail ____, whose family name and birth date does not appear on record. He m. 2d, Mary Baldwin, granddaughter of the first Walter Palmer, Nov. 25, 1706.
