Edward Pottenger

     Edward was born circa 1575 in Cholsey, Berkshire, England. He was the son of Walter Pottenger and Joan Hollowaye. Edward married Margaret Smith on 19 January 1599/0 in Compton, Berkshire, England, at St. Mary and St. Nicolas Church.¹ Edward's wife, Margaret, died before 6 July 1617 in Compton, leaving him a widower. Edward married 2nd Joan Johnson on 9 February 1617/18 in Burghfield, Berkshire, England, at St. Mary's Church.¹ Edward and Joan had one known son, Edward
