Robert de Plumpton

     Robert de was born in Spofforth Parish, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, at the Ville de Plumpton. He was the son of Robert de Plumpton and Alice Foljambe. Robert is only known by his father's deeds of settlement. It is thought that he may have removed to Somerset county and was the ancestor of the families there. This Robert appears to be the first man of the family not accounted for in the known records.
