George de Plumpton

     George de was born in Spofforth Parish, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, at the Ville de Plumpton. He was the son of William de Plumpton and Alice Gisburn. George was a priest at Bolton Abbey. From a letter writtewn by his sister Katherine, it is evident that there was discord in this family.
