Mary was born in 1643 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. She was the daughter of Nicholas Parcell and Sarah (?) Mary married John Thorne, son of William Thorne, on 9 May 1664 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. [license]2,3,4 1698, John and Mary and her husband, [ROF:Flushing Town] were listed on the Flushing Town Census; John Thorne Sr., Mary his wife, Hannah, Sarah, William & negro Alez. She was living when her husband wrote his will on 23 July 1709. Mary's husband, John, died before 21 June 1709 in the Town of Flushing, leaving her a widow.
