James Pershall

     James was born circa 1544 in Swynnerton, Staffordshire, England. He was the son of Richard Pershall and Isabella Rolleston. There is little known of him except that he had a son, Jonas, who removed to Holland, probably involved in the family tobacco trade, and a daughter, Margaret, married to Sir Edward Wyndsor. It is thought that he died early, before the inquisition after his brother Thomas' death taken in 1609.
