Samuel Newell

M, b. circa 5 December 1660, d. 15 February 1753
     Samuel was born in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was christened there on 5 December 1660 in First Church of Christ. He was the son of Thomas Newell and Rebecca Olmsted. Samuel married Mary Hart on 20 December 1683 in Farmington at First Church of Christ.1 Samuel and Mary had children: Samuel Newell [2/19/1686-1750] [m. 8/08/1710 Sarah Norton], Thomas [3/01/1690] [m. 7/09/1713 Mary Lee], John [1/17/1692-2/21/1777] [m. 9/25/1719 Mary Hawley], Mary [12/23/1697-3/__/1729] [m. 12/17/16 John Steele], Daniel [4/18/1700-9/14/1731] [m. Ruth McLean], Nathaniel [2/20/1703] [m. 6/29/1727 Esther Hart] & Sarah [6/17/1707-1796] [m. 5/05/1731 Hezekiah Gridley].2 Samuel departed this life on Thursday, 15 February 1753 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut.2
