Barbe Neveu

     Barbe was born in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 3 December 1653 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 She was the daughter of Jean Neveu and Anne Ledet. Barbe married Nicolas Sylvestre, son of Nicolas Sylvestre and Estanche Colson, on 27 August 1667 in ville de Quebec at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 1681, Barbe and her husband, Nicolas, were listed on the Canadian Census in Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Nicolas Sylvestre [39 years], his wife: Barbe Neveu [29 years], Nicolas [12 years], Marie [9 years], Louis [7 years], Pierre [5 years] & Anne [2 years].3 Barbe's husband, Nicolas, died circa 10 March 1729 in Neuville, leaving her a widow. Barbe departed this life in Pointe-aux-Tremples, Neuville. She was buried there in St-Francois-de-Sales Church on Monday, 18 April 1729.
