Abraham Beardsley

     Abraham was born on Wednesday, 6 March 1697 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was noted as eldest in fahter's will. He was the son of Jonathan Curtiss Beardsley and Abigail Wakelee. Abraham married Ester Jeans on 17 April 1723 in Connecticut. Abraham and Ester had children: George, Abraham, William, Isaac, John, Michael Sarah [m.] John Mallet, Ester [m. Benjamin Beach], Martha [m. Joseph Smith] & Abigail. Abraham's wife, Ester, died on 11 November 1772 in Huntington, Stratford Town leaving him a widower. Abraham made his will on 29 May 1776 at Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

"In the name of God Amen, the 29th day of May A. D. 1776 I Abraham Beardslee of Strarford in he County of Stratford and the colony of Connecticut in New England" He mentions all of his children, his sons: George, Abraham, William, Isaac, John & Michael and his daughters: Sarah, wife of John Mallet, Ester, wife of Benjamin Beach, Martha, wife of Joseph Smith & Abigail.¹ Abraham departed this life on Tuesday, 9 July 1776 in Huntington, Stratford Town at age 79 years, 4 months and 3 days. He was buried there in the Old Cemetery of Huntington. His will was probated on 5 August 1776.
