Alice Baldwin

Alice made her will. In her will, Alice requested that a memorial stone be placed over the graves of her parents at St. Mary's Church in Alysbury. Thje request included that figures of her parents and the their childrebn be depicted.1 Alice was born circa 1512 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England. She was the daughter of Sir John Baldwin and Agnes Dormer. She was elected abbess of the Aughustinian in 1536 and became the last abbess of the Augustinian house in Burnham, Buckinghamshire when she signed the document of surrender on 19 September 1539. She then returned to her father's manor in Aylesbury.2,1 Alice departed this life before 2 March 1546 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England.1 Her will was probated on 2 March 1546.
