Marie-Anne Ayotte

     Marie-Anne was born on Tuesday, 29 November 1740 in Pointe-aux-Tremples, Neuville, Quebec, Canada. She was christened on the same day there in St-Francois-de-Sales Church.1 She was the daughter of Ignace Ayotte and Anne-Francoise Lecuyer dit Laneuville. Marie-Anne married Pierre Duchenay on 25 November 1761 in Louiseville, Quebec, Canada, at St-Antoine-de-la-Riviiere-du-Loup Church.2 Pierre & Marie-Anne had children: Marguerite Placide [10/12/1762][m. 10/18/1784 Jean-Baptiste Cartier & 2nd. 6/01/1795 Etienne Lamy], Jean Evangeliste [1764-3/27/1780], Marie Angelique [4/02/1766], Elisabeth [8/30/1767-6/28/1845][m. 10/25/1790 Alexandre Bareille dit Lajoie], Genevieve [6/10/1769-12/08/1809][m. 7/31/1786 Gabriel Brisard dit St Germain], Marie Anne [6/19/1771-7/29/1771, Marie Elisabeth [10/13/1772] & Angelique [11/20/1776].3 Marie-Anne departed this life in Maskinonge, Quebec, Canada. She was buried on 10 March 1790 at St-Joseph-de-Maskinonge, Quebec, Canada, in the churchyard of St-Joseph.4
