Marie Aure

     Marie was born in Champlain, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 13 September 1688 in the church of La Visitation.¹ She was the daughter of Rene Aure dit Grandmont and Denise Damanee. Marie married Jean-Baptiste Dubord dit Latourelle on 11 February 1709 in Champlain at the church of La Visitation.² Jean-Baptiste & Marie had children: Marie Josephe [11/09/1709-9/16/1767][m. 1/31/1735 Francois Houde], Marie 3/10/1712], a daughter [8/19/1714-8/19/1714], Marie Genevieve [6/30/1715-12/15/1756][m. 2/08/1740 Jean-Baptiste Dubois], Jean-Baptiste [3/10/1717-9/07/1802][m. 2/06/1747 Marie-Judith Abraham dit Desmarais], Marie Therese [11/23/1722-10/22/1752][m. 2/01/1744 Charles Boucher], Joseph [6/18/1725-3/25/1774][m. 5/15/1752 Marie-Josephe Neveu & 2nd 11/10/1760 Marie-Catherine Rivard], Alexis [1727-7/05/1816][m. 1/18/1762 Marie-Louise Gregoire & 2nd 11/11/1783 Marie-Josephte Goulet] & Marie Anne [6/20/1730-7/26/1730].³ Marie departed this life on Thursday, 16 April 1761 in Berthierville, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada. She was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Genevieve on Friday, 17 April 1761.⁴
