John McIntyre

M, b. 7 July 1838, d. 2 December 1863
     John was born on Saturday, 7 July 1838 in Ohio. He was the son of Benjamin & Mary [Ambrosier] McIntyre. John married Catherine Bowerman, daughter of Peter Bowerman and Nancy Anna Shaffstall, on 24 February 1859 in Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio.1 6 June 1860, the U.S. Federal Census listed John, living in the home of his parents at Sandusky Township, Crawford County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Ben McIntyre [51 Pennsylvania]. Mary [52 Pennsylvania], John [22 Ohio], Georgel [19 Ohio], Patrick [11 Ohio], & Catharine [22 Ohio].2 John was killed while serving in the Civil War on Wednesday, 2 December 1863. He was buried at Sandusky Township in Luke Cemetery.3
