     Walter was born circa 1160 in Great Rollright, Oxfordshire, England. He was the usher of the king's chamber. In 1188, King Henry II, granted the manor of King's Stanley to Walter as well..2,1 Walter departed this life in 1204. After his death the manors of King's Stanley Kings Worthy went to his brother Aumary.2
