His father left him his home & Tenements in Rodborough along with five sheep in his will written 9 November 1608. John made his will on 24 January 1639 at Rodborough Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, England.

Itm I give to John Hulins my sonne ye sum of five pownds to be payde to him by my sonne Henry uppon the first day of May wch shalbe in the yeare of orlord god on thowsand sixe hundred forty ???? Item I give to Margaret Blisse my daughter to be payde to her by my sonne Henry the sane of five pounds upon the fourth day of Mrch next ensuing the date heereof. Itm I give to Joane Beard my daughter the sume of fours pounds to be payde to her by my sonne Henry uppon the first day May which shalbe in the yeare of or lord god on thowsand sixe hundred forty one. Itm I give to Alice browns my daughter the sume of foure pounds to be payde to her by my sonne Henry uppon the first day of October wch shalbe in the yeare of or Lord god on thowsand sixe hundred Forty one. Itm I give to Mary my daughter the summe of seven pounds to be payde to her by my sonne Henry uppon the first day of November wch shalbe in the yeare of or lord god on thousand sixe hundred forty three. Itm I give to my sonne Henry above menciened the sume of forty shillings to be payde by my excecutrixe. Itm I do give and beeueathe unto Margaret my wyfe all my goods and chattle moveable and unmoveable whom I doe'ordayne and appointe to be my sole excutrix of this my last will & testament. Itm I doe appoints my brother William Hulins of Woodchester and John Clutterbucke of Rodborough to be my ovrseers, of this my last will to see it duly pfcrmed. In wittnesse heereof I have heereunto set my hand and seale the day and yeare above writtn. The marke of John Hulins in the prsence of as Samuell Richards, Nathaniell Cole."2
