Chauncey & Mary Ann had children: James [5/28/1865-4/26/1953] [m. 2/17/1904 Kate Youldon], Samuel [9/29/1867-10/03/1867] & Frances Amanda [1869]. 16 June 1870, Chauncy and his wife, Mary, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Dexter Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Enumerated in this household were Chauncey Howell [38 New Jersey farmer], his wife: Mary Ann [34 New York], children: James [4 Michigan] & Frances [1 Michigan].1 1 June 1880, Chauncy and his wife, Mary, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Dillon Township, Phelps County, Missouri. Enumerated in this household were Chauncey Howell [50 New Jersey - farmer], his wife: Mary A. [45 Michigan], children: James H. [14 Michigan] & Frances A. [12 Michigan].2 On 6 September 1894, the Voter Register of Fresno County, California notes Chauncy Howell as 63 years old born in New Jersey, described as 5'11 1/2", dark complexion, brown eyes and gray hair. Chauncy departed this life before 13 April 1896 in Fresno County, California. According to the obituary of his brother, John, on this day, he was no longer living.
