     Benjamin was born circa 1627 in Mowsley, Leicestershire, England.1 On 16 September 1627, he was christened at Mowsley, Leicestershire, England.2,3 The family moved to Rye about 1665. Benjamin was made a freeman of Connecticut 1664. There are deeds of land he made to to Christopher Youngs in 1670, and to Samuel King and others at various times. Anna, his wife, witnesses deeds in 1673, 1683-85.4 Benjamin married Mary Hampton Mappam circa 1684 in New York. Benjamin made his will on 19 February 1685/86 at Rye, Westchester County, New York. He willed his wife's clothes to his sisters and gave his property to charity. He appointed his brother Joseph devisee and his brother Joshua executor.5 Benjamin departed this life on Friday, 3 November 1690 in Rye, Westchester County, New York.6
