     Johan Lorenz was born circa 1750 in Heimburd, Nassau, Holoischen, Germany. Johan married Christina Pfeifer circa 1779 in Maryland. Laurence & Christina had children: Anna Marie [12/10/1780-2/02/1873][m. 8/28/1798 Richard Ridgely], George, & John. Johan made his will on 5 March 1794 at Frederick County, Maryland.

In the Name of God, Amen. I Lawrence Hime of Frederick County and State of Maryland being weak in body but of Sound and Perfect Mind and memory thanks be to the Almighty God for the same to make and publish this my last Will and Testament that is to say - First it is my will and desire that all my just debts and funeral charges shall be paid out of my personal Estate -
Item: I give and bequeath the whole of my Estate both real and Personal to my wife Christina Hime during the minority of my three children hereafter named but if my said wife should die or get married during my said children's minority that it is my will and desire that my Executor hereafter named Shall take charge of my said Estate and manage it for the benefit of my said three children.
Item: I give and bequeath to my three children Mary, George and John Hime their heirs and assigns forever the whole of my Estate both real and personal after the payment of my Just Debts and funeral charges but if either of my said three children should die under age or without issue then and in that case it is my Will and Desire that his her or their share or portion [so dying] shall go to the Survivor or Survivors share and share alike.
And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my wife Christina Hime Executrix and my friend Matthias Buckie Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former will by me heretofore made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my Seal this fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-four.

Signed, Sealed, Published and Declared by the within named Laurence Hime to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the said Testator and at his request. Allen Quynn Jr., Christian Scholl, Henry Cox.

Johan departed this life in Frederick County, Maryland. His will was probated on 6 June 1797 at Frederick County, Maryland.1

Then came Allen Quynn, Jr., Christian School, and Henry Cox the three subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing last Will and Testament of Laurence Hime late of Frederick County deceased and made Oath that they did see the Testator therein named Sign and Seal this will that they heard him publish, pronounce, and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension of a Sound and disposing mind memory and understanding that they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to this will in the presence and at the request of the Testator and all in the presence of each other.
