Anna Barbara was born on Thursday, 31 July 1738 in Bernville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Anna Barbara married George Adam Geiss on 15 May 1758 in Berne, Berks County, Pennsylvania.1 George and Anna Barbara had children: George Adam [4/11/1759-4/16/1759], Catharina Elisabeth [6/19/1760][m. Chistopher Winter], Johann Michael [1/12/1762-12/18/1822][m. Barbara Brecht], Philip Jacob [9/06/1763-1850][m. Elisabeth Coleman], Heinrich Adam 6/21/1764], Maria Barbara [3/07/1765-3/18/1821], Christianna 1/13/1768-11/27/1837][m. Aabraham Greim], Anna Maria 5/10/1774-11/09/1844][m. Pieter Douwes Siderius] & Johannetta Catharina [3/13/1776-12/27/1851][m. Johannes Himmelberger]. Anna's husband, George, died on 29 January 1784 in Berks County, Pennsylvania, leaving her a widow. Anna departed this life on Wednesday, 17 August 1814 in Bernville at age 76 years and 17 days. She was buried there in Friedens Evangelical Luthern Church Cemetery. The inscription on her stone reads: Anna Barbara Haag wife of Johann George Geiss - born July 31,1738 - died 17 Aug 1814.2
