     Rebecca was born in 1797 in Rockingham County, Virginia. Rebecca married Joseph Hite circa 1815 in Bremen, Rush Creek Township, Fairfield County, Ohio. Joseph & Rebecca had children: Abraham [12/30/1816-4/01/1873][m. Sarah Biddle], Rebecca [9/27/1817-7/04/1885][m. John Sands], Jonas [6/09/1820-11/21/1884][m. Lovina Huffman], David Noah [2/22/1824-3/20/1875][m. 9/22/1844 Lucy Ann Snyder], John [6/21/1826-11/06/1875][m. Elizabeth Hempy], Benjamin [died age of 2 years], Aaron [4/05/1827-9/01/1834], Samuel [3/01/1830-9/30/1849] & Mary Ann [4/28/1831]. In 1824, the family purchased land in Thurston, Fairfield County, Ohio. Rebecca departed this life on Wednesday, 5 March 1834 in Thurston, Walnut Township at age 37 years. She was buried there in the Thurston Primitive Baptist Cemetery.

Immigrated from Switzerland to Pennsylvania in 1727, page 34 - Frances Beery, the youngest of sixteen children of Nicholas Beery No. 2, was born in Rockingham county, Virginia, 1797, and died at Thurston, Fairfield Co., Ohio, in 1830; married Joseph Hite in 1812, who died in 1884. In 1824 they bought land where the town of Thurston, Fairfield Co., Ohio, now stands. In 1864 he settled in Huntington, Ind. In her father's will he calls her Rebecca. but her descendants call her Frances. It may have been Rebecca, F rances.

    Different parties report different dates.
