     John was born circa 1572 in Dundridge Manor in the Parish of Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, England. John married Hannah (?) circa 1600. John & Hannah had children: Richard, John, Marie, Anne & Martha as they were mentioned in the will of John's mother dated 4 June 1622. John inherited from his father lands in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, called "Stybbings". John made his will on 16 December 1651 at Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England.

…he was to be buried in the churchyard at Chesham. To his daughter Marie Butterfield, 5 marks. To Richard Butterfield, one house wherein he now dwelleth. To Thomas Beecher, £5. To William Beecher, the brother of them, £20. To my daughter Anne Didsbery, 20s. To my daughter Didsbery’s children £5 a peece. To my daughter Martha Ward 12d. And to my daughter Ward’s sonne. To Thomas Ward the house that Robert Anderson lives in. To John Ward, my daughter’s sonne £20. To Martha Ward, my daughter’s daughter, twenty nobles. To Mary Ward, 20 nobles. Sole executor, Thomas Didsbery, sonne of my daughter Anne Didsbery. Witnesses, Samuel Trecher. Overseers, Mr. Henry Baldwin, Joseph Weedon, my grandchild, Thomas Didsbery and Samuel Trecher.1

John departed this life in Chesham. His will was probated on 26 October 1652.2
