Henry de was born circa 1200 in Devonshire, England, at the barony of Barnestable. He was not of age in 1218. He inherits the other half moiety in Barnestable in 1213; this was actually a grant from King John, who had confiscated the moiety from William Braose III in 1208. This is confirmed by the charge of 56 knights fee in 1235/36 for the whole moiety, and in 1246 the knights fee was broken down into two parts, 28 for the half received from the Braose moiety and 28 from the Tracy moiety. Henry departed this life in 1274 in Devonshire, England, at the barony of Barnestable.2
