     Sir Thomas de was born circa 1308 in Swynnerton, Staffordshire, England. Sir married Matilda de Holand de Yoxhall, daughter of Sir Robert de Holand de. Thomas was trained to arms from his youth. He distinguished himself duringhis father's lifetime and was rewarded with the lands of Thomas de Cresswell for his services in the wars of France. At the death of his father in 1338, he became the secular head of the family & at the death of his brother, Robert, he became heir of his father's estate about 1350. He served as sheriff of counties of Shropshire & Staffordshire. Sir departed this life in December 1361 in Swynnerton, Staffordshire, England. He was succeeded by his son, Robert.
