     Robert de was born circa 1170 in Swynnerton, Staffordshire, England. Robert was Lord of Swynnerton. He inherited from his father, the Manors of Swynnerton & Great Sugnall. Robert married Margaret de Audeley in England. Robert married 2nd Petronella de Gresleye de Derlaveston. Robert departed this life after 1221 in Swynnerton, Staffordshire, England. Robert and his wife, Petronilla were found in the Plea Rolls of Henry III. in 1221.2 Robert's wife, Margaret, died in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, leaving him a widower.

    Volume I: Chapter 13 , section 3 Robert de Peshale de Swynnerton, pages 407 -page 408 - In 1166, Robert Joceran held Great Sugnall and Bishops Offley as a one half knight's fee, under the Bishop. It was the daughter of this Robert whom Robert de Swinnerton married. The Testa de Nevill (c. 1242) gives Robert de Sugnall as having one-half fee here; and the second return of that feudatory (c. 1243) states it was held by his heir. This Robert de Sugnall was the third Robert de Swynnerton, his heir being the fourth Robert Swynnereton, who died in 1246, having held Great Sugnall three years.
