     Edwin was born on Saturday, 9 December 1561 probably Hartlebury Castle, Worcestershire, England, about 5:00 a.m. His Godparents were Thomas Russett, knight, Thomas Blount, esquire & Margaret Sheldon, widow.4 In 1571, Edwin entered the merchant tailor school. He matriculated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford in September 1577. He earned his BA degree on 16 October 1579 & his MA degree on 5 July 1583.. He was knighted by James of Scotland at Charter House 11 May 1603. He was founder & shareholder of the Bermuda Company. Edwin married 4th Margaret Evanleigh in England. Edwin's wife, Margaret, died, leaving him a widower. Edwin married 2nd Ann Southcott in England. Edwin's wife, Ann, died in England, leaving him a widower. Edwin married 3rd Elizabeth Nevinson in England. Edwin's wife, Elizabeth, died in England, leaving him a widower. Edwin married 4th Catherine Bulkely in England. Edwin made his will on 28 August 1629. Edwin departed this life before 31 October 1629 in Northbourne, County Kent, England. He was buried at County Kent, England, in the church at Northbourne. His will was probated on 31 October 1629.
