     Isabella was born on Tuesday, 28 May 1844 in Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio. She was often referred to as Bella or Belle. Isabella married Edwin A. Hubbard on 25 December 1870 in Crawford County, Ohio.1 Edward & Isabella had three children: Edwin [9/10/1873-11/20/1958] and two who died young. Their son, Edwin was never married. He remained in the family home in Bowling Green with his mother. He was a commerical printer & owned his own businessr in Bowling Green. 8 June 1880, Isabella and her husband, Edwin, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Jersey City, Wood County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were E. H. Hubbard [42 Ohio] & his wife, Isabell [36 Ohio], M. E. [6 Ohio]. E. H. is a school teacher.2,3 1 June 1900, Isabella and Edwin was listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Bowling Green, Center Township, Wood County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Belle P. Hubbard [56 Ohio - May 1844], Edwin [62 Ohio - December 1837][in the insane asylum], & son, Edwin [26 Ohio - August 1873][printer]. They had been married 29 years with 3 children, 1 living. Belle is a carpet weaver.4 Isabella's husband, Edwin, died on 19 March 1907 in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, leaving her a widow. 16 April 1910, Isabella was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Bowling Green, Center Township on Ridge Street. Enumerated in this household were Belle Hubbard [65 Ohio][widow], & her son: Edward [36 Ohio][printer & owns his own shop]. She had 3 children, 1 living.5 5 January 1920, the U.S. Federal Census listed Isabella living in the home of her son on Ridge Street, Bowling Green, Center Township, Wood County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Edwin Hubbard [46 Ohio] & his mother: Isabell [76 Ohio]. He is a printer.6 Isabella departed this life on Thursday, 15 March 1923 in Bowling Green, Center Township, Wood County, Ohio, at her home on Ridge Street.

Obituary - BELLE HUBBARD DIED AT HOSPITAL – Mrs. Belle Hubbard of 128 Ridge street passed away at the Bowling Green hospital Thursday afternoon at four ‘clock February 18th. Mrs. Hubbard was stricken with apoplexy which rendered her practically helpless. Se was removed to the hospital at once and has been there since. She regained consciousness after her stroke and was rational up to the time of her passing.
Funeral services will be from Deck’s Chapel on East Wooster Saturday morning at 10:30. Rev. Purdy Van Wicklen hosting the service. Burial will be made in Oak Grove cemetery. It was the request of Mrs. Hubbard that no flowers be sent when she departed this life.
The deceased was born in Crawford County, near Bucyrus, on a farm May 23, 1844, making her in her 79th year at the time of her going. Here she spent her girlhood days and December 25, 1870, she was united in marriage with Rev. Edwin A. Hubbard at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Peterman.
After their marriage the couple came to Wood county, settling on a farm southeast of Portage., which was the husband’s native community. Later the moved to Jerry City where the husband quit the ministry and began teaching school. In 1889 the family came to Bowling Green and in 1906 Mr. Hubbard passed to the life Beyond. Three children were born to the union two having died in infancy, the remaining child now being Edwin M. Hubbard, a very well known and popular printer in this city, and chaplain of the local Elk lodge, of which he is a long standing member.
Mrs. Hubbard was a member of the Wiley Relief Corps post of Bowling Green, her departed husband having served in the Civil War. She was a devout member of the M. E. church here and was a faithful attendant when her health permitted. Mrs. Hubbard was not active in community activities but favored a more quiet home life. She was a great lover of her home and her happiest moments were when she was working in her garden or caring for her flowers. She always had one of the finest small gardens and prettiest flower beds in her neighborhood.
She leaves only the son, Edwin M. She was the last of a family of six children of which she was the youngest.7,8

She was buried there at Bowling Green, Center Township in Oak Grove Cemetery.
