James Parshall1

     Important Notes: According to Clarence Pearsall's Genealogy, James was the son of Robert II, grandson of Robert I, great grandson of Edmond Pearsall the Grocer of London. This 3 Volume work appears to be very impressive, with an incredible amount of research being done. Unfortunately, our research and the research of others, has been unable to verify this lineage. It is however, thought that James does descends from Edmond Pearsall, Grocer of London, but at this time, no definitive proof has been discovered. - KLM. James was born in 1649 in Isle of Wight, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. James married Elizabeth Gardiner, daughter of David Gardiner and Mary Lingman, circa 1676 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. James's wife, Elizabeth, died on 20 June 1690 in the Town of Southold leaving him a widower. James made his will on 14 October 1692 at the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. He mentions his sons: Israel & David, his wife, eldest daughter Mary & his children. James married 2nd Margaret (?) circa 1693 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. 1698, James and Margaret and his wife, [ROF:Southold Town] werelisted on the Southold Town Census. Enumerated in this household were James Pershall, Margaret, Mary, Israel, David, Benjamin, Margaret Jr.1 James departed this life on Thursday, 15 September 1701 in the Town of Southold at age 52 years. His will was probated on 28 October 1701.
