     Joseph was born on Sunday, 2 April 1730 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut. Joseph married Sarah Woodruff on 9 June 1754 in Northington [now Avon], Hartford County, Connecticut. On 8 July 1775, he enlisged to serve in the Revolutionary Army. He was a Fifer in Captain Joel Clark's Company, Colonel Jedediah Huntington's Regiment, Contential Army. Joseph died on Tuesday, 28 November 1775 in Lake George, New York, whle still sercing in the Revolutionary army.
