Hannah Mitchell

     Hannah was born circa 26 June 1631 in North Oram, Halifax parish, Yorkshire, England. On 26 June 1631, she was christened in Halifax, Halifax Parish, Yorkshire, England, at St. John the Baptist Church. She was the daughter of Matthew Mitchell and Susan Wood. Hannah married Robert Coe, son of Robert Coe and Mary (?), circa 1650 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She and Robert were blessed with 4 child. Hannah's husband, Robert, died in September 1659 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow; His brother-in-law, the Reverend Abraham Pierson wrote his eulogy.² Hannah married 2nd Nicolas Elsey circa 1665 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was of New Haven. Hannah departed this life on Sunday, 2 April 1702 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.
