Elizabeth was born circa 1596 in Sherford, Devonshire, England. She was the daughter of Richard March and Joan Martyn. Elizabeth made her will before 14 May 1619 at Rattery, Devonshire, England. The will of Elizabeth March of Ratterie, spinster, undated. . . To my Aunt Alice March, 20s. To Marie Marche, daughter of Thomas March, 6s. To my uncles, Silvester Risdon, Robert Rogers, Symon Thorne & Mr. Henry Martyn's servants, 12d. each. To my brother, William, a ewe. To my godchild, Peter Cooke 12d. To my sister, Amyas, all my apparel and a ewe. The residue of my goods, to my five sisters, equally to be divided amongst them. But if Alice my oldest sister shall marry to my uncle Martine’s good liking and that of her friends, my will is that she shall have 40s. more than the rest.
