Sarah Masterson

F, b. circa 1620, d. before 2 April 1701
     Sarah was born circa 1620 in Leyden, South Holland, Netherlands. She was the daughter of Richard & Mary [Goodall] Masterson. In 1629, Sarah left her home in England aboard another ship named the "Mayflower", bound for New England. She traveled with her parents & her brother, Nathaniel.. Her father died in 1633 in Plymouth. Her mother and William Brewster were appointed guardians of her and her brother. Later, her mother married second, Reverend Ralph Smith.1 Sarah married John Atwood, son of Johannes Atwood and Joan Coleson, circa 1643 in Massachusetts.2 Sarah's husband, John, died before 26 January 1676 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, leaving her a widow.3 Sarah departed this life before 2 April 1701 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. The inventory of Sarah's estate was taken on Saturday, 2 April 1701.4 Her will was probated in 1701 by her son, Nathaniel.
