     Marie-Anne was born on Wednesday, 9 September 1705 in Berthierville, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Yves Martin dit Pelland and Marie Piette dit Trempe. She was christened there on 13 September 1705 in St-Pierre Church.1,2,3 Marie-Anne married Michel Boucher on 24 November 1727 in Berthierville at Ste-Genevieve Church.4 Michel & Marie Anne had children: Marie Anne [9/06/1729-4/17/1767][m. 10/25/1762 Antine Demers], Michel [11/26/1731-2/19/1802][m. 4/20/1761 Marie Durand], Marie Josephe [1735][m. 1/07/1765 Joseph Houde], Marie [1737-5/01/1758], Genevieve [1738-6/04/1764][m. 5/26/1755 Loius Riviere] & Guillaume [1747-12/07/1815][m. 1/09/1769 Marie Anne Savoie].5 Marie-Anne's husband, Michel, died on 27 July 1782 in Berthierville leaving her a widow. Marie-Anne departed this life on Monday, 22 December 1783 in Berthierville at age 78 years, 3 months and 13 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Genevieve on Wednesday, 24 December 1783.6
