Marie Genevieve Martin dit Pelland

     Marie Genevieve was born on Monday, 25 March 1709 in Berthierville, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada. On 25 March 1709, she was christened in Sorel, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada, at St-Pierre Church.1 She was the daughter of Yves Martin dit Pelland and Marie Piette dit Trempe. Marie Genevieve married Alexis Boucher on 25 February 1732 in Berthierville at Ste-Genevieve Church.2 Alexis & Marie Genevieve had children: Augustin [1734-1/02/1801][m. 8/08/1763 Angelique Mereau/Merand], Marie Amable [1736-3/30/1813][m. 11/04/1760 Louis Lepicier], Marie [1750-11/__/1754], Marie Euphrosine [7/08/1751] & Jean [9/01/1754-3/03/1831][ m. 7/14/1777 Josette Carpenter]. Marie departed this life on Sunday, 29 March 1778 in Berthierville at age 69 years and 4 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Genevieve on Monday, 30 March 1778.3
