     Daniel was born in Maryland. Daniel married Catherine Heim, daughter of Johan Andreas Heim and Maria Catharina Martzen, in 1794 in Frederick County, Maryland. Daniel & Catherina had children: Rezin, John, Daniel Jr., & Andrew.
