     Osbert de was born in Northumbria, England. He was the son of Ligulph (?) and Aeldgyth de Northumberland. Osbert left Northumberia and immigrated to Stafford. He & his son, Osbert Jr. were, at one time, secular priests in the Silverton or Swnnerton Church in Straffordshire. This church gathered the most of the Northumberian immigrants to Stafford. The church was estabished around 1100.2,3
