Sarah Kirby
F, b. 1638, d. after 21 July 1707
Sarah was born in 1638 at Sandwich, Cape Cod, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Richard Kirby [Curby] and Jane (?) In Sandwich on 3 February 1657, Sarah and her sister, Jane, were ordered to court for having caused a disturbance at worship. At the same court William Allen and Richard Kirby were also ordered to appear for the same complaint. At the next court session held on 5 March, Sarah and Jane were given punishments to be whipped. Sarah did receive the punishment, but Jane was excused from the whipping as long as she no longer practiced the “disturbances.”.1 Sarah married Matthew Allen on 5 June 1657 in Sandwich, Cape Cod, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Matthew and Sarah had children: Dorothy [4/08/1659] [m. John Colvin], Miriam [June 1661] [m. James Easton], Deborah [May 1663], Samuel [February 1665], Mary November 1668], Ahazadiah [4/02/1671] & Matthew [6/10/1677]. Sarah departed this life.
