     Edgar was born on Wednesday, 2 December 1835 in Morrissania, Westchester County, New York, at the family home at Rose Bank. He was the son of William Haight Leggett and Margaret Peck Wright. Edgar died on Tuesday, 23 February 1836 in Morrissania, Westchester County, New York, at the family home at Rose Bank from a disease he had from his birth. He was interred at Westchester.
