William Jackson

M, b. 1 October 1764
     William was born on Monday, 1 October 1764 in New Gaarden, Chester County, Pennsylvania.1 Census reports show that several children were born before their marriage. This would indicate that either one or both of them had a first marriage. William married Phebe Townsend, daughter of Henry Townsend V and Anne Wright, on 29 November 1803 in Cornwall, Orange County, New York. William and Phebe had children: Isaac, William and possibly a daughter. The 1810 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Cornwall the family of William Jackson [21001:02011] Noah Townsend, brother of Phebe is liste right below him.2 The 1820 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Cornwall, Orange County, New York, the family of William Jackson [0111001:11002].3
